Oh my…..Raspberry Pi!

Welcome back after the short midterm break.

Today we used scratch to create a simple sequence memorization game. We had three circles of different color on the screen that were flashed in a random order that the kids had to memorize and recreate to score points and win the game. With each successful round the sequence gets faster and longer  making it more difficult to stay in the game.

In the second hour the kids were introduced to the Raspberry Pi.

The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It is a capable little computer which can be used in electronics projects, and for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like playing games.

We want to see it being used by the kids to learn how computers work and ultimately how to program.
