Lego Robot from CoderDojo CIT wowed at Lego Robot competition

Four CoderDojo coders, Dean Hodge, David McMahon, Padraig Murphy and Eoin O’Leary took on the Lego Robots challenge last month.  We knew that we were later than everyone else starting but the lads took it on.  At home, in CIT on Wednesday afternoons, in UCC on a Saturday, in CoderDojo on Fridays, the lads worked on this project.  They had to assemble the robot, and programme the robot to negotiation a maze.  A circuit had to be assembed to light a beacon.  A car was assembled to form the body for the beacon.  A poster explaining how they did it and the future of rescue robots had to be designed and assembled. So Many Thanks to Malcolm in the Nimbus Centre and Kate and James, who guided the coders on this speedy journey and of course well done Speedy our Robot!

It was a lot of work and we say Fair Play Lads, we are so proud of you.
