Malcolm brought along something he had prepared earlier – a simple league table page. You can download his html files and images from here – go to the Meeting02 folder and you’ll find all the files you need!
In order to understand the HTML piece of Malcolm’s page, we covered a few more HTML tags namely:
– the table tag which is used to wrap around a table definition in a web page.
– the table row tag which surround each table row, these tags appear between the table tag and you need a set of these for each row that is to appear in the table. – the table cell tag which defines a standard cell in a table, these tags appear between the table row tags and you need a set of these for each cell that is to appear in the row of table.
We didn’t quite get through everything needed for the league table example but we will finish it up at one of the next meetings.
There will be no meeting on Friday next, 6th April 2012, as the college is closed – see you all again on Friday, 13th April 2012!!!
